Contingency

The part of your practice you can’t cover yourself.

Build the plan once from a short list of actions, each written in plain language and switched on by you. A trusted contact can start it. Everything after that runs on its own.

One trusted contact, no clinical access

They can activate the plan. They can never see your client list, your notes, session detail, allocations, or any clinical data.

A 24 hour hold before anything sends

We try to reach you first. Nothing goes out during the hold, and you can cancel with one tap. Then clients with sessions in the next fortnight hear first, using the template you wrote, in your words.

Rehearse it before you need it

A dry run shows exactly who would be emailed and what they would receive. Nothing is sent.

A printed copy for wherever you keep important papers

Print the emergency document and keep it with your will, so someone can act even if they cannot log in.

FAQ

Contingency questions

How long does it take to write a plan?

About twenty minutes, and most of that is deciding who your trusted contact is. The plan itself is a few toggles and two short messages in your own words.

What can my trusted contact see?

Nothing clinical. They can activate your plan, and that is all. There is no screen that shows them your client list, notes, session detail, allocations, or income.

What if it is a false alarm?

Nothing is sent during the 24 hour hold. We try to reach you, and you can cancel with one tap.

Does contingency planning cost extra?

No. Contingency planning, rehearsal, and the printable document are part of the one plan.
